The Wenonah Backwater square stern canoe features a rigid aluminum and wood mounting bracket designed to accommodate a small motor.
Sized for two people and a load of gear, the Backwater is extremely stable and works well for duck hunting shallow marshes or float fishing rocky rivers. A small outboard in the 2-3hp range, or a trolling motor with at least 55 lb. of thrust is recommended to unlock the Backwater's true potential. To off set the weight of the motor, place the battery or gas tank as far forward as possible. 52 lb.
